Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Part-Time Patient Coordinator to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring a smooth patient experience by managing appointments, maintaining patient records, and providing exceptional customer service. This position requires strong organizational skills and the ability to communicate effectively with both patients and healthcare professionals.
*35-40 hours per week.
Duties
- Greet patients upon arrival and assist with check-in procedures
- Schedule and confirm appointments using electronic medical records systems
- Manage patient inquiries via multi-line phone systems, providing accurate information and addressing concerns
- Maintain organized patient files and ensure all documentation is up-to-date
- Collaborate with dental and medical staff to coordinate patient care efficiently
- Process insurance claims and verify patient eligibility for services
- Assist in the management of office supplies and equipment as needed
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and maintain patient confidentiality
Skills
- Proficiency in Abeldent software is highly desirable
- Strong understanding of dental terminology
- Previous experience as a dental receptionist or in a dental office is preferred
- Experience in a medical office setting is beneficial
- Familiarity with electronic medical records management systems
- Solid front desk administrative experience, including handling multi-line phone systems
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a focus on customer service
- Ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
