Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and experienced Truck Driver to join our transportation team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely operating heavy-duty trucks to transport goods and materials across various routes. This role requires a strong focus on safety, punctuality, and professionalism to ensure timely deliveries and customer satisfaction.
Duties
- Safely operate commercial trucks to deliver goods to designated locations within scheduled timeframes
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance with regulations
- Load and unload cargo, often involving heavy lifting, ensuring proper handling and securement of items
- Maintain accurate delivery logs, mileage records, and other required documentation
- Follow all traffic laws, safety protocols, and company policies during transportation
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and clients regarding delivery schedules or issues
- Perform routine maintenance checks and report any mechanical issues promptly
Experience
- Proven experience driving heavy trucks or commercial vehicles is preferred
- Ability to handle heavy lifting safely and efficiently
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record is required
- Familiarity with GPS navigation systems and route planning software is a plus
- Prior experience with freight or cargo transportation is advantageous
- Strong understanding of safety regulations and compliance standards in commercial driving
