Ottawa Dental Laboratory is a full-service family owned and operated dental laboratory specializing in designing and manufacturing high-quality dental restorations, including crowns, bridges, implants, dentures and orthodontics. We are recruiting for a full-time Dental Laboratory Assistant for the denture department.
Job Duties
· Create plaster moulds and models using dental impressions
· Prepare wax bite-blocks and custom impression trays
· Design and fabricate cast partial frameworks
· Pack plastic material in moulds to produce full or partial dentures
· Mould wax over denture set-up to form full contours of artificial gums
· Fabricate orthodontic bands using metals such as gold, silver, stainless steel, etc.
· Finish and refine dental metal framework, polishing them to obtain natural finish
· May perform administrative and clerical duties
Skill Requirements
· Completion of a one or two dental assistant program
· Up to two years of on-the- job training
· 10 to 15 years’ experience
Terms of Employment
Full time, permanent position. Start date is as soon as possible.
