Job Summary
We are currently seeking a Welder / Fitter to join our fabrication team. The successful candidate will be responsible for interpreting drawings, fitting components, and performing MIG and TIG welding on a variety of metal products.
Responsibilities
- Read and interpret blueprints, welding process specifications, and assembly drawings
- Fit parts together according to drawings and specifications
- Operate manual or semi-automatic welding equipment (MIG and TIG)
- Weld steel, stainless steel, and aluminum (asset)
- Operate hoisting and lifting equipment safely
- Use fabrication equipment such as saws, drills, and ironworkers
- Ensure accuracy and completion of assigned tasks and projects
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment
Qualifications & Experience
- Minimum 1 year MIG welding experience required
- TIG welding experience considered an asset
- CWB Certification considered an asset
- Must be able to complete a weld test
- Ability to read fabrication drawings
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
