Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Painter/Laborer to join our painting team. This role involves performing various painting and labor tasks across residential, commercial, and industrial projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team. Prior experience in construction painting, restoration, or related fields is preferred but not mandatory. This position offers opportunities for skill development in blueprint reading, schematics, and the use of power tools. A commitment to safety, quality workmanship, and customer service is essential. It is possibly that it will lead to a full time job in the future. Preferred for resident people In Victoria. No sponsorship from inside or outside the country
Duties
- Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, caulking, and priming as needed
- Apply paint, stain, or other finishes using hand tools and power tools with precision
- Perform residential, commercial, or industrial painting according to project specifications
- Operate hand tools and power tools safely and effectively
- Follow safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment for all team members
- Communicate effectively with team members and clients to ensure project expectations are met
- Maintain a clean work area and properly store tools and materials
- Assist with general labor duties such as lifting, moving materials, or setup of scaffolding
Experience
- Prior experience in construction painting, restoration, or related fields is preferred but not required
- interpretation, and use of hand tools and power tools
- Experience with residential, commercial, or industrial painting projects is a plus
- Strong time management skills to meet project deadlines efficiently
- Excellent communication skills for effective teamwork and customer interactions
- Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting heavy materials and working at heights if necessary
- Familiarity with caulking techniques and rigging is advantageous
