Italian Baker – Overview
We are seeking a passionate and detail-oriented Italian Baker to join our culinary team and create fresh, authentic Italian baked goods daily. This role is ideal for a bilingual (Italian & English) professional with 3–5 years of experience in the food industry, particularly in Italian baking, food preparation, and quality control.
The successful candidate will contribute to producing beautiful and delicious baked items while maintaining the highest standards of food safety, consistency, and presentation. Duties
- Prepare and bake a variety of Italian baked goods including focaccia, breads, pastries, cakes, and desserts, ensuring consistency and quality
- Decorate cakes and desserts using traditional and modern decorating techniques to meet customer and café standards
- Assist with food preparation tasks such as mixing, measuring, and assembling ingredients
- Manage daily baking schedules to ensure freshness and timely availability
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and baking areas in compliance with food safety standards
- Package baked goods securely for retail or catering, ensuring freshness and attractive presentation
- Follow all food handling, hygiene, and safety protocols at all times
- Support the kitchen and front-of-house teams during busy periods as needed
Qualifications
- 3–5 years of professional experience in Italian baking, bakery operations, or pastry preparation
- Bilingual: Italian and English (required)
- Prior experience in cake decorating or artisanal bakery operations is highly preferred
- Strong knowledge of traditional Italian baking techniques and food preparation methods
- Solid understanding of food safety standards and proper food handling procedures
- Strong baking, cooking, and food presentation skills
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Passion for baking, culinary arts, and hospitality excellence
