We’re looking for a critical problem solver to bring strong strategy, business, and product focus to the AI solutions we build. This role exists to ensure our technical team’s strengths and efforts are consistently aimed at the highest-impact problems, land seamlessly in end-user workflows, and create measurable value for the business.
As Director, Strategy and Product Management, you will sit at the intersection of our technical team and our business counterparts. You’ll partner with business leaders and stakeholders to identify the right problems to solve with AI, work side-by-side with technical team to translate those problems into well-scoped solutions, and stay close to end-users to ensure out solutions fit their needs and get high adoption. You’ll be the voice of the business inside the technical team, and the voice of the technical team inside the business.
Strategy and Business Leadership
Assess the business case and expected ROI of potential AI solutions, including the financial, operational, client experience, and risk dimensions of impact;
Prioritize the team’s portfolio of initiatives, balancing near-term wins with longer-term, higher-ambition bets, and adjusting priorities as conditions evolve;
Act as the ongoing business owner for the team’s portfolio, liaising with stakeholders across the development lifecycle to ensure alignment, momentum, and business value capture;
Build a working understanding of the business’ technology stack, and guide the technical team on which platforms, systems, and data sources our solutions should integrate with, and how;
Help the technical team translate business requirements into a clear development plan, including scoping, sequencing, and trade-off decisions on functionality, model choice, and delivery approach;
Champion a test-and-learn approach to AI product development, promoting experimentation, structured pilots, and the use of evidence to drive decisions about scaling, iterating, or sunsetting solutions
Stakeholder Engagement and Communication
Build and maintain strong, trust-based relationships with senior business stakeholders, end-user communities, technology partners, and control functions such as risk, compliance, and legal;
Communicate vision, strategy, progress, and outcomes clearly and credibly to senior leadership, ensuring transparency, alignment, and buy-in;
WHAT DO YOU NEED TO SUCCEED?
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or a related field – Master's or MBA is a plus;
8+ years of experience in a top-tier technology company, financial service organization, fintech, or consulting firm, ideally with meaningful exposure to AI or machine learning products;
Strong background in AI technologies and their application in product development, with the ability to translate business needs into clear product and technical requirements, and translate complex technical realities back into business language;
Strong business acumen, strategic thinking and analytical judgment, with experience building business cases, defining success metrics, and using data to drive decisions;
