About the Role
Port Perry Salvage is a busy scrap metal recycling yard looking for a reliable, hard-working labourer to join our team. This is a hands-on position working outdoors year-round. If you're not afraid of physical work and like staying busy, this job is for you. No experience necessary — we will train the right person.
Responsibilities
- Sorting and handling ferrous and non-ferrous metals
- Loading and unloading trucks
- Cutting, dismantling, and processing scrap material
- Keeping the yard clean, organized, and safe
- Following all safety procedures and yard rules
Requirements
- Strong work ethic and dependable attendance
- Able to lift 50+ lbs and stay on your feet throughout the shift
- Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions
- Basic hand tool experience an asset (torch experience a bonus)
- Steel-toe boots required
- English preferred
