About the Role:
Support Workers build meaningful relationships and provide day-to-day support that helps people live their best life. You’ll create safe, positive, and inclusive environments while encouraging independence and connection in the community.
What You’ll Do:
- Provide person-centered support based on each individual’s goals and routines
- Help with daily living activities (meals, appointments, personal care, etc.)
- Foster feelings of safety, respect, and belonging through Gentle Teaching
- Encourage choice, growth, and meaningful community involvement
- Keep accurate documentation and communicate effectively with your team
What We’re Looking For:
- A caring, patient, and respectful approach, where building meaningful relationships is your top priority.
- Ability to work a variety of shifts, including days, evenings, nights, overnights, and weekends.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Must provide a clear Criminal Record Check with a Vulnerable Sector search upon hire.
- Valid First Aid/CPR Level C certification
- Valid driver’s license and a reliable vehicle are required.
- Previous experience in disability support or human services is considered an asset, but not required—we provide comprehensive training.
- Experience supporting individuals who may exhibit aggressive or challenging behaviors.
- Transferring, Lifting, and Repositioning (TLR) certification.
