Headway Construction is growing and we’re looking for a skilled Lead Installer to run residential renovation projects on site. This is a hands-on role for someone who leads by example and takes pride in high-quality framing and finishes.
What You’ll Do
- Act as the main point of contact on site between field staff and the office
- Communicate professionally with homeowners when required
- Coordinate schedules and sequencing with other trades
- Place material orders and ensure site readiness
- Distribute daily tasks to crew members based on skill level
- Mentor and develop apprentices
- Perform daily safety inspections and ensure site compliance
- Resolve site issues quickly and effectively
- Perform hands-on work 85%+ of the time, including:
- Framing
- Drywall & taping
- Painting
- Tile installation
- Trim & finish carpentry
- Door installation
- General residential renovation work
What We’re Looking For
- 3+ years experience as a Lead Installer / Lead Carpenter
- Proven track record of high-quality completed projects
- Strong skills in framing and interior finishes
- Red Seal certification considered a strong asset
- Ability to communicate clearly with foreign workers
- Excellent problem-solving and leadership skills
- Reliable, organized, and detail-oriented
