Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Steel Stud Framer to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for framing structures using steel studs, ensuring precise measurements and adherence to safety standards. This role requires a strong understanding of blueprint reading, construction techniques, and the use of various hand and power tools. The Steel Stud Framer will contribute to the successful completion of commercial and residential projects, demonstrating expertise in framing, concrete forming, and related construction tasks.
Duties
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction plans to determine framing requirements
- Measure, cut, and assemble steel studs accurately according to project specifications
- Install framing components securely using hand tools, power tools, and heavy equipment as needed
- Assist with concrete forming and finishing tasks when required
- Operate heavy machinery safely for lifting and positioning materials
- Perform siding installation and woodworking tasks related to framing projects
- Ensure all work complies with safety regulations and building codes
- Collaborate with team members to coordinate project timelines and quality standards
- Maintain a clean work environment and properly store tools and materials
Experience
- Prior experience in construction, carpentry, or framing preferred
- Proficiency in blueprint reading and understanding schematics is highly desirable
- Knowledge of concrete forming, concrete finishing, welding, and heavy equipment operation is a plus
- Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, woodworking, siding installation, and restoration work is beneficial
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and work at heights or in confined spaces as required
- Strong attention to detail with excellent problem-solving skills
- Physical stamina to perform demanding tasks over extended periods
