Overview
We are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Bartender to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for the food and beverage industry, providing exceptional customer service while creating memorable experiences for our guests. As a Bartender, you will be responsible for mixing, garnishing, and serving drinks according to recipes or customer preferences, ensuring compliance with food safety standards.
Duties
- Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages to customers in a timely manner.
- Operate the POS system for order entry and payment processing.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area, including proper food handling and safety practices.
- Engage with customers, providing excellent service and recommendations based on their preferences.
- Handle cash transactions accurately, ensuring proper cash handling procedures are followed.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely service of food items when applicable.
- Monitor customer consumption of alcohol and adhere to responsible serving practices.
- Keep inventory of bar supplies and assist in ordering when necessary.
- Demonstrate effective time management skills during busy periods to ensure efficient service.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a restaurant or food service environment is preferred.
- Familiarity with POS systems, particularly Squirrel POS, is a plus.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with guests.
- Basic math skills for handling cash transactions and making change.
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and proper food handling techniques.
- Excellent time management abilities to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
