The mission of Siksika Group of Companies Ltd is committed to establishing long term prosperity for
Siksika Nation by maximizing revenues generated from joint venture partnerships, management and
development of renewable and non-renewable resources, and by providing Siksika Nation Shareholders
with a viable return on all current and future investments. Siksika Group of Companies Ltd operates as the
“business arm” of Siksika Nation, and all shares of Siksika Group of Companies Ltd are held in trust by
Chief and Council (Shareholders) on behalf of its members (Siksika Nation).
The Board of Directors governs Siksika Group of Companies through the Articles of Association, policy
and procedures, budgets, and business planning decisions pursuant to the Siksika Group of Companies
Governance Policies and Procedures and By-Laws. Some aspects of acting as a director are:
The Board is entrusted with the overall direction and management of Siksika Group of
Companies, and each director owes a fiduciary duty to Siksika Group of Companies.
Each director is expected to exercise care, diligence, and skill as they carry out their duties.
Failure to meet these standards can result in personal liability to Siksika Group of Companies and
third parties.
A director is expected to attend quarterly Board meetings and serve on Sub-Committees, which
meet as required.
Provide governance and strategic leadership.
Contribute their skills, experience, and knowledge to support the growth and success of Siksika
Group of Companies.
Must submit an updated criminal record check.
Eligibility Requirement: Applicants must be a registered member of Siksika Nation.
Siksika Group of Companies is seeking Expressions of Interest from Siksika Nation members who are
interested in contributing their skills, experience, and perspective to guide the organization.
If you are interested in becoming a member of the Board of Directors, we look forward to reviewing your
letter of expression of interest and resume. The Expression of Interest and Resume should contain the
applicant's full name, residential address, and phone number, along with an outline of their education and
business experience.
Expression of Interest must be submitted before 4:30 pm on July 31, 2026 at the Siksika
Group of Companies Building
