We are looking for a Grocery Supervisor to join us who is just as dedicated as we are in providing exceptional customer service and shares our passion. This role will be responsible for supervising our Langley grocery department.
This role will be 32 - 40 hours a week.
Some of the responsibilities of the role are, but not limited to:
● Develop strategies in conjunction with the leadership group and Vitamin Supervisor to improve customer service, drive store sales and increase profitability
● Contribute to the grocery team‘s daily duties
● Liaise with owners on product development, collaborating on promotional opportunities and initiatives
● Ensure that departmental goals are met, while adhering to the approved budgets
● Maximize sales and profitability through effective and creative merchandising
● Efficiently stock, rotate and display product in a neat, organized and appealing manner
● Ensure grocery pricing is accurate and up to date in the system
● Order and maintain products assigned on the updated vendor list
● Handle customer inquiries, requests and complaints in a prompt, polite and efficient manner
● Comply with Occupational Health and Safety, food safety, and other regulatory requirements and procedures
● Build strong relationships with customers and vendors
● Provide additional customer service support and merchandising support as needed
● Online orders being fulfilled
● Ensure inventory is being received properly
● Oversee weekend tasks, ensure communication and weekend team is set up for success
● Responsible to execute product Specials and other promotions
● Work with vendors on annual marketing plans (social media, in-store, website)
What we are looking for:
- Grocery experience
- Ability to commute to our Langley location
- Although not required, experience ordering produce would be deemed a major asset
- Strong leadership/managerial abilities and ability to drive strategy
- Previous experience working with and managing budgets
- Comfortable with technology
- Understanding of nuances of sourced items
- Exceptional relationship building skills
- Is a good listener and driven to educate others
