Job Overview
We are seeking a reliable and dedicated Newspaper Carrier to deliver newspapers to customers in a timely and efficient manner. This role requires physical stamina, excellent communication skills, and a customer-focused attitude. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring that newspapers are delivered accurately and on schedule, maintaining a positive relationship with customers along the route.
Duties
- Collect newspapers from the distribution center or warehouse using appropriate equipment such as forklifts or carts.
- Load newspapers securely to prevent damage during transit.
- Deliver newspapers to residential Addresses along designated routes, adhering to scheduled delivery times.
- Assist with heavy lifting of bundles or boxes of newspapers as needed.
- Communicate effectively with customers regarding delivery times or issues, providing excellent customer service.
- Report any delivery issues or customer concerns to supervisors promptly.Qualifications
- Physical ability to perform heavy lifting and moving tasks regularly.
- Experience with warehouse operations, including forklift operation, is a plus.
- Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) or valid driver’s license preferred for route driving.
- Strong communication skills to interact professionally with customers and team members.
- Prior experience in customer service or delivery roles is advantageous.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and manage time effectively.
- Reliable transportation to reach the warehouse and start routes on time. Pay: $120.00-$239.05 per month
