Our client, a small boutique public practice accounting firm located in Kelowna BC is seeking an experienced accounting manager to join their team.

Who you are:
As an experienced accounting manager, the successful candidate will assist in overseeing the team, planning engagements and completing files of diverse complexities within various industries. This is the ideal opportunity for someone looking to continue their career in public practice. As an experienced accounting manager, you have extensive experience within the public practice environment. With work-life balance at the forefront, the working arrangement will be dependent upon the successful candidate.
Some of your responsibilities will include:
- Planning and managing client engagements including reviewing files prepared by other employees;
- Providing guidance, mentorship and training as required to other staff members;
- Developing strong client relationships;
- Managing various aspects of the practice including employees scheduling and tracking various deadlines.
Requirements
- Canadian CPA designation;
- 2+ years public accounting experience in a managerial role including reviewing compilation engagements, corporate and personal tax returns;
- Experience in CaseWare and Profile/Taxprep (or other tax software) is essential;
- Comfortable working with clients from various industries;
- Ability to multitask and strong problem-solving capabilities;
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential;
- Sound decision-making ability and professional judgment;
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment;
- Effective leadership and management skills.
