Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Food Service Supervisor to oversee daily operations in a dynamic food service environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive knowledge of food preparation, and excellent customer service abilities. This role offers an opportunity to manage a team, ensure food safety standards, and deliver exceptional dining experiences. Prior experience in restaurant management, hospitality, or the food industry is highly valued. Duties
- Supervise and coordinate daily food service operations, ensuring smooth workflow and adherence to company standards
- Oversee food preparation and cooking processes, maintaining quality and presentation
- Manage POS systems such as Micros POS for order processing and cash handling
- Lead, train, and evaluate team members, including interviewing and onboarding new staff
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and proper food handling procedures
- Monitor inventory levels, order supplies, and manage kitchen stock efficiently
- Handle customer inquiries and resolve complaints promptly to ensure high customer satisfaction
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in all food preparation and service areas
- Assist with restaurant management tasks including scheduling, reporting, and operational planning
- Support hospitality efforts by creating a welcoming environment for guests
Skills
- Proven experience in food service, restaurant management, or hospitality industries
- Strong leadership skills with prior supervising or team management experience
- Knowledge of food preparation techniques, cooking methods, and food safety protocols
- Proficiency with POS systems such as Micros POS and cash handling procedures
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to handle guest concerns professionally
- Ability to supervise food handling operations while maintaining high standards of hygiene and safety
- Experience in interviewing, training staff, and managing restaurant operations
- Familiarity with kitchen operations, food industry standards, and restaurant experience
- Leadership qualities with the ability to motivate a team in a fast-paced environment
- Additional experience such as hotel or barista work is considered a plus but not required
Pay: $15.00-$19.00 per hour
