As a Retail Supervisor, you will lead by example, support the management team, and ensure the store operates efficiently while delivering an outstanding customer experience. You will help supervise daily operations, coach team members, and maintain the high standards that Flamingo Plus is known for.
What You'll Do
- Lead the team in delivering an exceptional customer experience.
- Support and supervise staff throughout daily operations while fostering a positive and professional work environment.
- Assist with opening and closing procedures, cash handling, and ensuring store security.
- Process customer transactions accurately using our POS system, including sales, refunds, exchanges, credits, inventory adjustments, and daily cash reconciliation.
- Assist with employee onboarding, training, coaching, and ongoing development.
- Help motivate the team to achieve sales goals, operational targets, and performance expectations.
- Ensure company policies, procedures, and operational standards are consistently followed.
- Handle customer questions, concerns, and escalated situations professionally and confidently.
- Maintain extensive knowledge of products, pricing, promotions, and new arrivals.
- Verify customer age and identification while maintaining confidentiality and professionalism.
- Assist with inventory management, shipment receiving, stock replenishment, merchandising, cycle counts, and inventory accuracy.
- Ensure the store remains clean, organized, well-stocked, and visually appealing.
- Communicate effectively with management regarding staffing, inventory, customer feedback, and operational opportunities.
- Assist the Store Manager with scheduling, task delegation, and day-to-day leadership responsibilities when required.
- Lead by example by maintaining a positive attitude, strong work ethic, and high level of accountability.
- Assist with loss prevention initiatives and ensure company assets are protected.
- Other duties as assigned.
Candidate Must Have
- Minimum 2 years of retail/customer service experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Previous leadership, keyholder, or supervisory experience is considered a strong asset.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to coach, motivate, and develop team members.
- Strong conflict resolution skills and the confidence to handle difficult situations professionally.
- Excellent customer service and phone etiquette.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced retail environment.
- Experience handling cash, inventory, and daily retail operations.
- Comfortable working independently while contributing to a collaborative team environment.
- Passion for retail and creating exceptional customer experiences.
- Must be 18 years of age or older with valid government-issued identification.
- Must have a flexible schedule and be available to work days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Reliable, dependable, punctual, and able to lead by example.
