Central Bark is growing, and we’re looking for a strong Assistant Manager to grow with us.
This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who is reliable, decisive, and genuinely cares about both dogs and people. You’ll help run day-to-day operations while leading the team and protecting the standards that make us different.
What you’ll do:
- Lead and support staff on shift
- Oversee daycare, boarding, and grooming operations
- Keep dogs safe, structured, and well cared for
- Handle client concerns professionally and calmly
- Open and close the facility
- Manage check-ins and daily operations
- Assist with scheduling, inventory, and organization
- Hold the team accountable, including coaching and write-ups
- Complete incident reports thoroughly and on time
- Support staff reviews and performance feedback
- Train and coach team members to meet Central Bark standards
- Ensure the facility stays clean, organized, and presentation-ready
- Uphold Central Bark’s standards and culture every day
What we’re looking for:
- Proven leadership or supervisory experience (preferred)
- Experience working with dogs is a strong asset
- Calm under pressure and confident making decisions
- Takes ownership and initiative
- Excellent communication skills
- Team-oriented with a positive, accountable attitude
Schedule:
Full-time. Must be available weekdays, evenings, and weekends. Flexibility is required.
Compensation:
