The Opportunity
Reporting to the Controller, the Senior Accountant will play a key role in the organization’s financial reporting and accounting operations. This position will be responsible for overseeing month-end close activities, preparing financial statements, supporting international and multi-entity accounting functions, and assisting with process improvements across the finance function.

Key Responsibilities:
- Financial Reporting & Month-End
- Lead month-end and year-end close processes across multiple entities
- Analyze financial results and investigate variances against budget and prior periods
- Ensure accurate and timely reporting in accordance with accounting standards and company policies
- Prepare and review monthly financial statements, reconciliations, and supporting working papers
Prepare and post journal entries including accruals, prepaids, and intercompany transactions

- Operational Accounting
- Manage intercompany reconciliations and foreign currency transactions
- Support accounting for international operations and multi-currency environments
- Assist with treasury functions and cash flow reporting
- Oversee day-to-day accounting activities including AP, AR, payroll support, and cash management

- Audit, Compliance & Controls
- Assist with year-end audit preparation and liaise with external auditors
- Support the implementation and maintenance of internal controls and accounting procedures
- Team Collaboration
- Partner with operational leaders and department heads to provide financial support and analysis
- Participate in system improvements, ERP enhancements, and special projects as required
- Mentor junior accounting staff and provide guidance on accounting processes and procedures
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and efficiencies within the finance function
- Ensure compliance with tax filings, government reporting, and regulatory requirements
Qualifications:
- Minimum 5 years Accounting and/or Finance experience
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- CPA or equivalent certification preferred – or demonstrated efforts to obtain so
- Proficiency in accounting and finance systems (e.g. Quickbooks, Netsuite, etc.)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, especially Excel
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial regulations
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Excellent attention to detail, accuracy, and ability to work under pressure
