Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Carpenter to join our dynamic construction team. In this role, you will be responsible for executing a wide range of carpentry tasks, from framing and drywall installation to cabinetry and finishing work. Your expertise will contribute to building high-quality structures, restoring existing facilities, and ensuring all projects meet safety and quality standards. Responsibilities
- Read and interpret detailed blueprints, schematics, and construction plans to accurately execute project specifications.
- Construct, install, repair, and maintain structures such as walls, floors, ceilings, cabinets, siding, roofing, and framing using hand tools and power tools.
- Perform concrete forming, rebar installation, masonry work, tile laying, flooring installation, and drywall setup with precision.
- Assist with restoration projects by repairing or replacing damaged woodwork, siding, or roofing components.
- Measure materials and cut components to size using saws and other woodworking tools; assemble parts with nails, screws, adhesives or other fasteners.
- Conduct construction estimating to determine material needs and project timelines; ensure all work complies with safety regulations.
- Support plumbing and electrical tasks as needed; coordinate with specialists for complex installations or repairs.
- Handle heavy lifting safely during material transport or structural assembly; perform caulking and finishing touches for a polished look.
- Maintain a clean work environment by organizing tools and disposing of debris; document project progress through reports.
Skills
- Proficiency in blueprint reading, schematics interpretation, and construction estimating.
- Extensive experience with carpentry techniques including framing, cabinetry installation, drywall finishing, roofing, siding, and flooring.
- Skilled in the use of hand tools (hammers, chisels), power tools (saws, drills), CNC machinery (if applicable), and masonry equipment.
- Knowledge of concrete forming processes, rebar installation, masonry work, tile laying, plumbing basics, electrical fundamentals, and construction painting.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while maintaining attention to detail in all aspects of construction work.
- Familiarity with restoration techniques and handyman skills for small repairs or modifications.
- Strong understanding of construction safety standards and ability to read technical schematics accurately.
- Experience working in manufacturing environments or on large-scale construction projects is a plus.
