Internal Job Title: Lottery Operations Analyst
Job Type: Permanent, Full-time

Position Summary
As a Lottery Operations Analyst in the Lottery Operations and Administration department, you will be responsible for monthly accounting functions (reporting, forecasting, modeling, AP, AR, reconciliations, etc.) and supporting the Legal Department by assisting with regulatory compliance and contract evaluation activities.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Management & Reporting

Analyze and organize monthly revenue reports to prepare invoices for Bingo & e-Raffle partners;

Maintain financial records for CBN charitable gaming operations, including day-to-day bookkeeping, accounts receivable (AR), accounts payable (AP), and reconciliations;

Track and recover costs associated with large-scale capital investments;

Advise decision-makers on budgeting and planning by providing detailed reporting.
Compliance & Legal Support

Assist CBN Legal with annual compliance filings;

Provide financial insight into contracts.
Cross-Functional Collaboration

Regularly liaise with various CBN departments including Corporate Finance, Purchasing, Shipping, and the operations team in Sault Ste. Marie (SSM).
Support for Other Business Units

Assist the traditional lotteries arm with accounting and operational functions as needed.
Qualifications
Mandatory Requirements

Legally eligible to work in Canada

Fluency in English (speak, read, write)

Able to obtain (in a timely manner) and maintain Government of Canada Reliability (Level I) clearance

Able to travel internationally approx. 1 week/year
Minimum Qualifications
-
College diploma in Accounting
-
Familiarity with the following:

Fundamental accounting concepts
-
Excel (Intermediate level – e.g. pivot tables, multi-directional lookups (v-lookup, h look-up, index match))

Computerized accounting systems
Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance

Fundamental understanding of databases

1-3 years of experience in accounting or related field
