Rock Truck/Articulated Dump Truck Drivers (Temporary)
Start: Immediately
End: 5-6 month contract
Shift: two weeks on/two weeks off, camp position
Duties:
- Operate Rock Trucks / Articulated Dump Trucks (ADT) safely and efficiently in accordance with manufacturer specifications, site procedures, and company policies.
- Operate rigid-frame haul trucks (CAT 773/777) when required.
- Perform hauling activities to support earthworks, construction, and material movement operations.
- Work outdoors in all weather conditions, including rain, fog, heat, and winter conditions.
- Perform general labour duties as required to support project operations.
- Maintain awareness of surroundings at all times and promptly report hazards, incidents, or unsafe conditions.
- Clean, maintain, and secure equipment in accordance with company policies and procedures.
- Conduct pre-shift and post-shift inspections to ensure equipment is safe and fully operational.
- Complete inspection reports and equipment logbooks and report any deficiencies to the supervisor.
- Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors using radio communications and hand signals.
- Follow all site safety rules, project requirements, and company operating procedures.
Position Requirements:
- Strong commitment to safety, including personal safety and the safety of coworkers, subcontractors, and the public.
- Demonstrated experience operating Rock Trucks / Articulated Dump Trucks in a civil construction, earthworks, roadbuilding, or heavy construction environment is required.
- Experience operating CAT 773 or CAT 777 haul trucks is considered an asset.
- Willingness to work outside of the cab and perform labour duties as required, including shoveling, fueling, greasing, cleaning equipment, loading and unloading materials, and other site support tasks.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to work outdoors in changing weather conditions during 12-hour shifts.
- Ability to work night shift.
- Ability to pass a pre-access drug and alcohol test.
- Valid Class 5 driver's licence and reliable transportation to a designated meeting location in Prince George or Vanderhoof
Candidates currently residing in British Columbia or Alberta, or those able to mobilize to project sites with minimal notice, will be considered an asset due to project locations and operational requirements.

Pay: $37.00 per hour
