Position Overview
We are seeking an enthusiastic, experienced, and customer-focused Bartender & Brand Ambassador to join our team on a part-time basis, primarily on weekends and during special events.
This role is ideal for someone who loves hospitality, enjoys engaging with guests, has a passion for craft cocktails and spirits, and thrives in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment. You will play an important role in creating exceptional guest experiences while representing The Woods Spirit Co. brand.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve cocktails, flights, and spirit tastings to guests.
- Educate customers about The Woods Spirit Co.'s products, production methods, and brand story.
- Provide exceptional customer service and create a welcoming environment for all guests.
- Drive retail bottle sales, tasting experiences, and cocktail sales through product knowledge and guest engagement.
- Assist with opening and closing procedures.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and professional bar and tasting room environment.
- Monitor inventory levels and communicate stock requirements.
- Ensure compliance with Serving It Right, health, safety, and liquor regulations.
- Assist with special events, tours, markets, and promotional activities as required.
- Collaborate with management on seasonal cocktail features and guest experiences.
Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of bartending or hospitality experience.
- Strong knowledge of cocktails, spirits, and beverage service.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Experience operating POS systems and handling cash transactions.
- Self-motivated, dependable, and capable of working independently.
- Ability to multitask and remain composed during busy service periods.
- Serving It Right certification required.
- Experience with craft spirits, distilleries, cocktail development, or hospitality events is considered an asset.
- Experience working with vacuum distillation, Rotovaps, or cocktail innovation is considered an asset but not required.
