Role Description and Qualifications
- Architectural Technologist with minimum ten (10) years work experience with a portfolio demonstrating advanced knowledge of Revit software and working drawing production.
- Good communicator - precise, concise, with exceptional English language skills (oral and written).
- Self-motivated and ambitious with the ability to work independently. Organized, with the skill to manage time, deliverables, budgets and personnel.
- A full understanding of building science, construction materials, construction methods, architectural detailing, the Ontario Building Code & accessibility guidelines.
- Can take projects form the initial conceptual design phase to the end of construction. In our small firm staff are involved in almost all aspects of the project and can at various times be contributing to everything from proposal writing, building condition assessment reports, cost estimation, prequalification of contractors, obtaining municipal approvals, bidding phase and construction phase responsibilities.
- Capable of representing the firm with Client and Contractor interaction, managing the production and delivery of architectural projects and an ability to work within a team environment and manage a project team composed of multiple subconsultants.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to attend site visits and meetings.
- Ability to obtain security clearances for institutional projects; Police Check, OPP (Level 2) Clearance, and Ontario Public Service (OPS) Clearance.
- Must have a valid Canadian work authorization (Canadian Citizens, permanent residents, and valid work permits only).
- Working in person from the office is a requirement and no remote work options are available.
