Position Title: Tax Manager
Salary & Benefits: $125,000-140,000 (w/ 25% bonus, pension, benefits, vacation)

Our client is a well-established, global, publicly traded organization seeking an experienced Senior Manager, Tax to join its corporate tax team. Reporting to the Director, Tax, this individual will play a key role in supporting Canadian and international tax reporting, compliance, tax accounting, and strategic tax initiatives across a complex global businesses and subsidiaries.

Key Responsibilities
Tax Accounting & Financial Reporting
- Lead the quarterly corporate tax provision process, including consolidation, review, analysis, and reporting for a global group of entities.
- Ensure accurate and timely tax accounting in accordance with applicable accounting standards.
- Analyze tax positions and communicate results to internal stakeholders.
Corporate Tax Compliance
- Coordinate Canadian corporate tax compliance activities with external advisors.
- Oversee country-by-country reporting, CRA audit responses, transfer pricing documentation, and other corporate tax reporting requirements.
- Support compliance initiatives while ensuring deadlines and reporting obligations are met.
International Tax & Advisory
- Support international tax reporting requirements, including foreign affiliate reporting, surplus computations, excluded property analysis, EIFEL compliance, and Pillar Two readiness.
- Monitor Canadian and international tax legislation and assess potential impacts to the business.
- Assist with tax planning, advisory projects, corporate transactions, and other strategic initiatives.
Stakeholder Collaboration
- Partner closely with Finance, Legal, business units, and external advisors to provide tax guidance on business initiatives.
- Act as a trusted resource for internal stakeholders by translating complex tax matters into practical business advice.
- Coordinate cross-functional teams to ensure tax matters are executed efficiently and accurately.
Process Improvement & Risk Management
- Identify opportunities to improve tax processes, internal controls, reporting procedures, and automation.
- Support tax risk management initiatives and help strengthen governance across the tax function.
- Contribute to continuous improvement projects that enhance operational efficiency.
The ideal candidate is a collaborative and technically strong tax professional with 5–7 years of progressive Canadian corporate tax experience, gained through a combination of public accounting and/or industry. You hold a CPA designation (CPA, CA) and have successfully completed the CPA In-Depth Tax Program or a Master's in Taxation. You bring deep expertise in Canadian corporate tax, tax accounting, and quarterly tax provisions, along with hands-on experience in corporate tax compliance and international tax reporting.
You have worked extensively with foreign affiliate reporting, transfer pricing, EIFEL, Pillar Two, and CRA audits, and are comfortable managing relationships with external tax advisors while partnering closely with Finance, Legal, and business leaders on complex tax matters. You possess strong analytical and project management skills, allowing you to balance multiple priorities while maintaining exceptional attention to detail.
An effective communicator, you have the ability to translate complex tax concepts into practical business advice for both financial and non-financial stakeholders. You are proactive, collaborative, and solutions-oriented, with a continuous improvement mindset and a genuine interest in identifying opportunities to strengthen processes, enhance reporting, and support strategic tax initiatives in a fast-paced, global organization.

- Extensive experience with Canadian corporate tax accounting and quarterly tax provisions and compliance within a large or complex, publicly traded organization.
