We specialize in high-quality residential repainting, cabinet refinishing, and exterior transformations. Our mission is to deliver exceptional craftsmanship and a five-star client experience on every project.
We are currently hiring a Lead Painter to run one of our exterior crews during the busy spring and summer season.
Position Overview
The Lead Painter is responsible for overseeing daily jobsite operations, ensuring projects are completed on schedule, within budget, and to BC Brushworks’ quality standards. This role combines hands-on painting with crew leadership and client interaction.
While experience is valuable, we prioritize character, coachability, and leadership potential.
Key Responsibilities
Crew Leadership
- Lead and motivate a small crew on exterior residential projects
- Assign tasks and ensure efficient workflow
- Maintain a positive, professional jobsite culture
Project Execution
- Perform prep, priming, and painting to high-quality standards
- Follow BC Brushworks SOPs and safety procedures
- Ensure proper use and care of tools and equipment
Budget & Productivity Management
- Track labour hours and productivity against project budgets
- Identify inefficiencies and implement solutions
- Minimize material waste and protect company margins
Client Experience
- Communicate professionally with homeowners
- Answer questions and provide daily progress updates
- Represent BC Brushworks with friendliness and integrity
Requirements
Must-Haves
- Previous painting experience (residential preferred)
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
- Strong work ethic and reliability
- Ability to work at heights and in outdoor conditions
- Coachable and willing to follow company systems
Strongly Preferred
- Experience leading a crew or mentoring others
- Familiarity with exterior prep and coatings
- Basic understanding of job costing or productivity tracking

Growth Opportunity

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $26.00-$30.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
