POSITION OVERVIEW
We are looking for a full-time Sign Shop Technicians to join our team! As a vital member of the production team, the Sign Shop Technician is responsible for making standard and custom signs. This includes but is not limited to substrate preparation, lamination, application of vinyl and digitally printed graphics, and maintaining inventory control. In addition, the position will require the applicant to work within our Metal Fabrication area, cutting aluminum substrate blanks on our metal shear and punches.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Prepare vinyl and digitally printed materials for application onto signage substrate
- Prepare and organize various substrates for digitally printed material application
- Apply digitally printed materials onto substrates and cut/trim edges for clean finish
- Operation and basic maintenance of roller table and other equipment/tools
- Load and operate 10ft metal shear to cut aluminum substrate blanks from larger alum sheets
- Utilize metal punches to shape aluminum substrate blanks
- Complete data entry
- Assist in other production tasks
- Assist in quality control of all production
- Complete machine maintenance when necessary
- Work individually and in a team setting
- Maintain accurate stock and materials records
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment
- Other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS
- Dependability and reliability
- Ability to lift up to 30-50 lbs, stand for extended periods of time, handle power tools and other equipment, and bend/reach over working tables
- General working knowledge of computers, spreadsheets, google docs
- Ability to balance quality, speed, and attention to detail
HOURS OF WORK:
The typical work schedule will be Monday through Friday. Shift varies depending upon the schedule; however, typically start timeframe is 7:00am or 8:00am. Evening/afternoon shifts are also available.
