Overview
We are seeking a skilled and passionate Pie (Burek) Maker to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have experience in food preparation, baking, and kitchen operations, with a focus on creating authentic and delicious burek pies. Responsibilities
- Prepare and assemble burek pies according to traditional recipes and quality standards
- Handle all aspects of food preparation, including dough making, filling preparation, and baking
- Ensure all food handling procedures comply with safety and sanitation regulations
- Package finished products efficiently for sale or delivery while maintaining freshness and presentation
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen workspace at all times
- Assist with inventory management and ingredient replenishment as needed
- Adhere to food safety protocols and maintain high standards of hygiene during all stages of production
- Support team members in other kitchen duties such as cake decorating or additional food preparations as required
Requirements
- Previous experience in food preparation, baking, or working in a restaurant environment preferred
- Knowledge of food handling safety standards and sanitation practices
- Skills in cake decorating, packaging, and general kitchen operations are a plus
- Strong understanding of the food industry, especially bakery or pastry work
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Excellent customer service skills when interacting with team members or customers during product sales or sampling
- Kitchen experience with a focus on baking or pastry arts is highly desirable
- Passion for creating authentic burek pies and commitment to quality craftsmanship
Pay: $19.00-$20.00 per hour
