Position Title: Exploration Geologist
Department: Mineral Resources
Location: Tuvatu, Fiji
Reports To: Exploration Manager

Purpose
Provide strategic leadership for the Mineral Resource (MR) department of Lion One. Responsible for planning, monitoring, reporting, and delivery of MR activities. The objective is to increase the value of the mineral resource asset through improved utilisation, resource growth, discovery, or acquisition/divestment.
Key Accountabilities / Activities
Manage the delivery of approved work programs.
Implement discovery strategies.
Contribute to maintaining Lion One tenement package.
Contribute to Lion One joint venture exploration activities.
Human Resources: recruitment, training, and succession planning.
Ensure accurate development and maintenance of Lion One geoscience data.
Orebody knowledge and mineral system studies.
Assist in writing reports.
Implement business improvement programs.

Promote awareness of SHEC practices and embed a safety culture.

Position Required Capabilities
Skills / Abilities
Solid experience using mining software and GIS systems.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Able to produce technical procedures and documentation.
Ability to schedule and prioritise tasks.
Demonstrate leadership in the safety culture.
Excellent interpersonal management.
Knowledge
Practical understanding of drilling methods.
Understanding of QAQC, sampling methods and theory.
Practical understanding of exploration geology.
Database management and verification.
Field mapping skills.
