Foreign Exchange Representative
The Foreign Exchange Representative assists members with foreign exchange and basic financial transactions, ensuring accurate processing, regulatory compliance, and a high level of customer service.
- Respond to external member inquiries in a timely and professional manner
- Provide high-quality service to all WFCU Credit Union members
- Welcome clients, assess their service needs, and deliver positive service experience
- Provide accurate information on foreign exchange services, rates, and procedures
- Process over-the-counter financial transactions including purchases and sales of foreign currency as well as managing currency orders for clients
- Calculate foreign currency exchange amounts accurately using posted rates
- Process payments through cash, cheque, credit card, or debit methods
- Operate cash registers, scanners, and computer systems to record transactions efficiently
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, including verifying customer identity when required
- Perform end-of-shift reconciliation by balancing cash totals with recorded transactions
- Complete miscellaneous administrative duties and maintain organized records
Required Skills
- Completed post-secondary education
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills while working in a fast-paced environment
- Two to four years of cash handling experience
