The Role
The Control Panel Assembler builds electrical control panels for heating equipment for customers across North America.
What You Will Do
Primary Duties:

Apply consistency in wiring and assembly method for units of the same type.
- Assist with larger freight shipment preparation.

Build cabinets, mechanical assembly, drilling and tapping.
- Carry out proper grounding procedures.
- Conduct final assembly; install panels and doors, inspect paint surface and alignment of doors and panels.
- Determine wiring sequence, layout, and location. Ensure space allowance for arrangement of wiring and components.
- Inspect incoming materials.
- Mark wiring and components where required.
- Monitor products to ensure product and quality specifications are met.
- Perform modular / sub-assembly.
- Prepare units for shipment; check units per final checklist; ensure units are clean and dust free.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings, schematic drawings, and single line drawings.
- Repair and modify any errors detected by test/inspection.
- Review wiring diagrams for accuracy. Resolve problems with appropriate personnel.
- Work to CSA, UL codes and company quality requirements.
