Overview
We are seeking a friendly, reliable, organized, and customer-focused Retail Assistant & Packager for a one-year term. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys a variety of responsibilities throughout the day and takes pride in delivering excellent customer service while supporting daily operations.
The successful candidate will split their time between assisting customers in our retail storefront, completing administrative tasks, maintaining inventory of products, and supporting our production team through packaging duties. Every day offers a balance of customer interaction, organization, and hands-on work.
Duties
- Package items securely for shipment or display, maintaining accuracy and efficiency
- Conduct quality checks on products and packaging to ensure compliance with company specifications
- Assist in inventory management by organizing stock
- Support warehouse operations by loading, unloading, and storing materials as needed
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of work areas to promote safety and efficiency
- Collaborate with team members to meet production and order fulfillment deadlines
- Provide customer service to individual and wholesale buyers
- Take orders from wholesale buyers and work with production team to fulfill orders
Skills
- Experience in retail and/or packaging facilities is an asset
- Strong attention to detail for quality control, meeting customer needs and maintain accuracy in packaging
- Good organizational skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced setting
- Physical stamina to stand for extended periods, lift up to 7 kg, and perform manual tasks effectively
- Customer service- be able to maintain a friendly atmosphere while staying patient and composed
- Teamwork skills- be able to work with team members to collaborate and fulfill customer orders
- Being able to speak Mandarin, Cantonese and/or Vietnamese is an asset but not a requirement
This position will start beginning of September.
Pay: $15.30 per hour
