Overview
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Class 1 Driver to join our transportation team.
Drivers will mainly be hauling removable gooseneck float.
Drivers must be willing to travel across the island when needed.
Some overnight/rotation work maybe required for certain projects.
Drivers must be flexible in hauling gravel , floating equipment, driving dump trucks & other heavy equipment.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class 1 commercial vehicles to transport freight over short and long distances
- Load and unload equipment/materials when needed
- Conduct routine inspections of vehicles and equipment, performing basic repairs when necessary
- Ensure all cargo is secured properly before transit and adhere to safety protocols during transportation
- Maintain accurate delivery documentation and communicate effectively with dispatch teams
- Follow all traffic laws, safety regulations, and company policies during operations
- Familiar with overweight/ over dimensional permits
- Running Samsara Elog when required
- Valid Class 1 Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with a clean driving record
Experience
- Experience operating forklifts, heavy equipment, or similar machinery preferred
- Prior experience in hauling gravel/floating equipment or commercial driving required
- Knowledge of automotive repair basics is a plus but not mandatory
- Strong understanding of safety procedures related to heavy equipment operation and freight handling
- Ability to operate within tight schedules while maintaining safety standards and professionalism
- Experience hauling Talbert/JC floats is required
- Experience hauling side dumps is an asset
Pay: Up to $30.00 per hour
