Jr. Electronics Buyer

We are seeking a Jr. Electronics Buyer to support purchasing, supplier coordination, material tracking, and order fulfillment in a fast-paced electronics manufacturing environment.
This junior buyer role is responsible for helping ensure purchase orders are placed accurately, supplier commitments are followed up, and materials arrive on time to support production and customer delivery.
Reporting to the Operations and Manufacturing Manager, the successful candidate will work closely with Operations, Production, Engineering, Sales, Accounting, suppliers, and leadership to keep orders, materials, and delivery schedules on track. This role also provides support to the Program Coordinator by helping ensure timely inbound supply of components to meet project deliveries and milestones.
Key Responsibilities
· Fulfillment of procurement plans and verify part availability before customer commitments are confirmed and communicate shortages, risks, constraints and resolve with alternate solutions.
· Obtain supplier quotes and compare pricing, availability, lead times, and order terms.
· Prepare, issue, and track purchase orders based on production schedules, customer priorities, approved requirements, and program commitments.
· Purchase and schedule parts to ensure materials arrive on time for manufacturing and customer delivery.
· Track supplier shipments, confirm delivery status, and escalate delays, shortages, or delivery risks.
· Coordinate order changes, expedite requests, delivery rescheduling, and supplier follow-up to keep materials aligned with production needs.
· Support Engineering and Manufacturing with procurement of equipment, supplies, services, tooling, and production materials.
· Maintain accurate purchasing records, supplier confirmations, expected delivery dates, order status updates, and required documentation.
· Coordinate logistics for ordered materials and customer shipments, including receiving, shipping, customs, and freight follow-up.
· Support continuous improvement in procurement workflows by process enhancements or adopting agentic tools when required.
Qualifications
Education
- Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Engineering, Business, Supply Chain, or a related field.
Experience
· 1–3 years of experience in procurement, purchasing, electronics buying, supply chain, order fulfillment, operations, or manufacturing.
· Exposure to electronics components, purchase orders, supplier follow-up, order tracking, material coordination, and delivery support.
Skills & Competencies
· Strong understanding of electronics component purchasing, supply chain, and manufacturing operations.
· Experience with ERP/MRP systems, purchase order records, receiving records, inventory updates, and open order reports.
· Neat, organized, and detail-oriented, with excellent communication, follow-up, and problem-solving skills.
· Ability to work effectively with suppliers, and cross-functional teams.

Pay: $25.00-$30.00 per hour
