About Noremac
Noremac is an established provider of concrete pumping and environmental services to the construction industry. Our services include concrete pumping, waste-bin rentals, portable restrooms, temporary fencing, and stone slinging.
We are looking for a motivated and dependable Outside Sales Representative to help grow our business, strengthen existing customer relationships, and ensure our customers receive responsive and professional service.
The Role
The Outside Sales Representative will be responsible for generating new business opportunities, developing relationships with existing and prospective customers, and supporting the sales process from initial inquiry through quotation and follow-up.
This is a hands-on role requiring a balance of field-based business development and disciplined sales administration. The successful candidate will be comfortable visiting customers and job sites, pursuing new opportunities, preparing quotations, following up consistently, and coordinating closely with our operations and dispatch teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities through customer visits, networking, referrals, cold calling, and other lead-generation activities.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with contractors, project managers, estimators, site supervisors, and other industry contacts.
- Regularly visit customers, prospective customers, offices, and job sites throughout the Edmonton region.
- Respond promptly and professionally to customer inquiries.
- Understand customer requirements and recommend appropriate services and solutions.
- Prepare quotations and related sales documentation in accordance with established pricing guidelines and profitability targets.
- Follow up on quotations, leads, and prospective projects in a consistent and timely manner.
- Negotiate and close sales opportunities within established Company policies and authority levels.
- Coordinate with dispatch, operations, accounting, and management to confirm job requirements and support the successful delivery of services.
- Maintain accurate and current records of customer interactions, opportunities, quotations, and sales activities.
- Monitor upcoming projects, market conditions, customer needs, and competitor activity.
- Provide regular updates on sales activity, pipeline development, customer feedback, and progress toward established targets.
- Assist in resolving customer questions or service concerns, involving operations or management when appropriate.
- Represent Noremac professionally and promote the Company’s services, reputation, and values in the marketplace.
Qualifications and Attributes
- Previous experience in outside sales, business development, account management, or a related customer-facing role.
- Experience in construction, concrete, equipment rental, waste services, or another construction-related industry is considered an asset.
- Strong communication, relationship-building, and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated ability to generate leads, follow up consistently, and develop new customer relationships.
- Organized and self-directed, with the ability to manage multiple opportunities and priorities.
- Comfortable preparing quotations and maintaining accurate sales records.
- Commercially minded, with an understanding of pricing, customer service, and profitable growth.
- Able to work collaboratively with operations and administrative teams.
- Professional, dependable, and accountable for commitments and results.
- Valid driver’s licence and ability to travel throughout the Edmonton region.
What We Offer
- Competitive base salary of $70,000–$85,000, based on experience, plus performance-based incentive compensation, company vehicle, cellphone, and benefits. Expected total compensation at target is approximately $90,000–$120,000.
