Sarnia Ford Lincoln is looking for an Automotive Detailer!
As an instrumental player on both the sales and service team, the Detailer is responsible for cleaning and detailing new and pre-owned vehicles. The detailer plays an integral role in ensuring the successful delivery of vehicles to customers. The detailer is also responsible for the appearance and cleanliness of all vehicles in the showroom and retail display.
What You'll Do:
- Cleaning, protecting, and preserving vehicle interiors (i.e. carpet and upholstery, dash and console, door panels, mirrors, glove compartment) and exteriors (i.e. wheels/tires/wheel wells, lower body panels, front grill/bumper).
- Polishing and waxing the vehicle's paint and finish, protecting it from environmental damage.
- Inspect vehicles for noticeable defects and ensure all vehicles are free from dirt, dust, and blemishes.
- Perform thorough inspections to ensure all cleaning and detailing work meets company standards.
- Greet customers, discuss their detailing needs, and provide information about the services offered.
- Follow all safety protocols.
- Clean and maintain detailing equipment and ensure a tidy workspace.
- Overall preparation of vehicles for customer delivery.
What You Bring
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Physical stamina to perform manual labour and lift heavy objects (up to 50 pounds).
- Valid driver's (Class G) license with a clean driving record.
- Knowledge of cleaning chemicals, proper use of automotive cleaning equipment, and detailing techniques.
- Ability to drive both manual and automatic transmissions.
- Eye for detail and perfection and a passion for delivering high quality.
- Previous detailing experience or related field.
- Strong commitment to providing excellent service and ensuring customer satisfaction.
- Ability to meet the physical demands of the position, including walking, crouching, bending, and standing for extended periods.
- Good communication skills and ability to work effectively as part of a team.
