Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and Shift Supervisor or Team Leader to oversee daily operations in our restaurant. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and a passion for delivering exceptional customer service. This role requires effective team management, ensuring food safety standards are met, and maintaining a positive work environment. The Shift Manager will play a crucial role in training staff, managing kitchen operations, and ensuring that all aspects of the restaurant run smoothly.
Duties
- Supervise and coordinate daily restaurant operations, including front-of-house and kitchen activities.
- Lead and motivate team members to provide excellent customer service and maintain high standards of food quality.
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and proper food handling practices.
- Manage cash handling procedures, including processing transactions accurately through the POS system.
- Assist in training new employees on restaurant policies, procedures, and best practices.
- Address customer inquiries and complaints promptly to ensure satisfaction.
- Collaborate with the management team to implement operational improvements and enhance efficiency.
- Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering supplies as needed.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in restaurant management or a similar role is advantage.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate a diverse team effectively.
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in food handling.
- Familiarity with POS systems for efficient cash handling is essential.
- Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with customers and staff alike.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Previous experience in kitchen operations is a plus, as well as the ability to assist with cooking when necessary.
