FDS Foundation Drilling Services provides specialized foundation drilling tools and equipment rentals to contractors across Canada and the United States. We are looking for a hardworking and reliable Yard Labourer to support daily yard and shop activities at our Oro‑Medonte facility.
This position is fully on‑site. Remote or hybrid work is not available.
Key Responsibilities
Yard & Equipment Operations
- Operate wheel loader daily to move, stage, load, and unload drilling tools and equipment
- Load and unload trucks and trailers safely and efficiently
- Stage equipment for dispatch, repair, or storage
- Pressure wash, clean, and detail rental equipment before dispatch and after return
- Assist with snow removal and general yard maintenance as required
Shop & Operational Support
- Support shop operations and work closely with welders and mechanics
- Identify damaged or worn equipment and report maintenance needs
- Assist with basic repairs and fabrication when capable
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized yard and shop environment
Safety & Teamwork
- Follow all safety procedures and company policies
- Use equipment and tools safely at all times
- Support team members and shift priorities as required to meet operational deadlines
Required Qualifications
- Proven wheel loader operating experience (required)
- Experience working in a yard, shop, or industrial environment
- Strong safety awareness and attention to detail
- Ability to perform physical work in an outdoor, year‑round environment
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently and as part of a team
- Able to work full‑time on‑site in Oro‑Medonte
Assets (Not Required)
- Welding experience
- Mechanical or equipment repair experience
- Forklift or heavy equipment experience
- Construction, drilling, or equipment rental background
Compensation & Benefits
- Competitive hourly wage (based on experience)
Pay: $25.00-$35.00 per hour
