About the Role
At Prairie Vision, we believe great eye care is about more than a prescription — it's about how patients feel from the moment they walk in to the moment they walk out with eyewear they love.
As our Frame Gallery Stylist & Patient Experience Specialist, you'll be the heart of that experience. You'll help patients find eyewear that fits their life, their style, and their prescription — while keeping the front end of our clinic running smoothly.
This is a hands-on, people-first role that blends optical dispensing with patient care and clinic support.
What You'll Do
Frame Gallery & Optical Dispensing
- Guide patients through frame and lens selection based on lifestyle, prescription, and personal style
- Educate patients on lens options, coatings, and specialty products
- Take optical measurements and ensure proper fit, alignment, and adjustments
- Maintain a clean, organized, and visually appealing frame gallery
Patient Experience
- Welcome patients warmly and professionally at every interaction
- Follow up with patients to ensure satisfaction and resolve concerns
- Keep the reception area, patient lounge, and displays stocked and inviting
Clinic & Administrative Support
- Schedule appointments, answer phones, and manage patient records
- Process Alberta Health and third-party insurance claims
- Assist with accounts receivable, referrals, and general clinic administration
What We're Looking For
- Warm, confident communicator who genuinely enjoys working with people
- Organized and able to juggle multiple priorities without losing attention to detail
- Comfortable learning new software and optical products quickly
- Previous optical or medical office experience is an asset — but not required
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative healthcare environment
- Comfortable standing for extended periods and working in a fast-paced clinic environment
