Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and skilled Delivery Driver to join our team in London. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods to various locations while ensuring timely and safe delivery. This role requires a strong understanding of vehicle operation, excellent navigation skills, and the ability to handle freight efficiently.
Duties
- Operate delivery vehicles in a safe and efficient manner, adhering to all traffic laws and regulations.
- Load and unload freight, ensuring proper handling of goods to prevent damage.
- Utilize forklift equipment as needed for loading and unloading tasks.
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and documentation for each trip.
- Conduct routine inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition, performing basic automotive repairs when necessary.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery schedules and any potential issues.
- Assist in managing inventory and organizing freight within the delivery vehicle.
Qualifications
- Valid G- driver's license.
- Must be 23 years old.
- Previous experience in freight handling or logistics is an advantage.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to perform basic automotive repairs as needed.
- Must be able to lift heavy items (up to 50 pounds) and work in various weather conditions.
