We are seeking a dedicated and creative Cook to join our kitchen team. The ideal candidate is passionate about food, works well in a fast-paced environment, and shares our commitment to quality, sustainability, and community. You’ll play a key role in preparing dishes that reflect our farm’s values, while working with local and seasonal ingredients.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and cook menu items to the café’s standards
- Work with fresh, seasonal, and local ingredients (many sourced directly from our farm)
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen
- Ensure food safety and sanitation standards are met
- Assist in menu development and daily specials
- Communicate and coordinate effectively with front-of-house and other kitchen staff
- Monitor food stock and report inventory needs
- Contribute to a positive and respectful kitchen culture
Qualifications:
- 1+ years experience in a professional kitchen (preferred but not required)
- Passion for local, organic, and seasonal food
- Strong work ethic and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Flexible schedule including weekends and holidays
- Food Safe certification (or willingness to obtain)
