We are on the look out for a dynamic Administrative Assistant to join our team! We require someone Full-Time or Part-Time, with the potential to become a permanent placement.
Responsibilities and Duties:
The right applicant would be willing to learn and flexible, as they will be asked to assist with a variety of duties within the clinic. These duties may include but are not limited to:
- Ordering products, data entry and inventory management
- Unpacking and packing orders for shipping
- Assist with settling animals into exam rooms, cleaning kennels
- Greeting clients, answering and transferring calls if they require veterinary support, booking/confirming appointments, communicating via email and possibly social media platforms with clients and fellow team members
- Cashier related functions including accepting payments, posting charges, balancing cash out and day end reports
- Cleaning, laundry and stocking shelves
- Other duties as necessary
Eligibility:
Preference will be given to candidates with familiarity and experience with veterinary products; experience in a veterinary clinic, and/or with medical terminology.
We are searching for someone who is self-motivated, friendly, punctual, and can thrive in a fast-paced environment. They must work well both independently and as part of the team.
This position requires physical activity including regular walking, standing, bending, and lifting bags and boxes up to 55lbs
It also requires someone who is well versed (verbal and written English proficiency). We would like an organized individual that demonstrates ability to prioritize workload, can multi-task and is highly proficient with computer skills. They must have a full/unrestricted drivers license, must be at least 18 years of age and be legally able to work in Canada.
Position specifics: Full-time or Part-Time Monday to Friday 8:30am -5:00pm
Occasional ½ day Saturday
