Raise is currently hiring an Electrical and Instrumentation Commissioning Superintendent on behalf of our client. They’re expanding their team to meet growing needs, making this a unique opportunity to work with an industry leader. Description
The E&I Commissioning Superintendent in this role will be a working supervisor role. You will be responsible for physically performing high-level trade work while simultaneously providing direct supervision, leadership, and safety oversight to your assigned trade crew. The ideal candidate holds a dual ticket (Electrical and Instrumentation) or a solid Red Seal in Instrumentation with extensive electrical experience, specifically within brownfield commissioning environments.
Responsibilities
- 1. Leadership, Safety & Project Execution

Safety Ownership: Act as the primary authority ensuring all E&I discipline work is executed safely and in absolute compliance with ’s strict safety program requirements.

Crew Supervision: Direct, monitor, and mentor trade crews. Lead daily toolbox talks, safety meetings, and Job Hazard Analysis (JHA) reviews.

Planning & Productivity: Support the development of detailed work execution plans. Monitor the schedule and productivity of your crew, working collaboratively across teams to remove barriers and resolve field issues.

2. Hands-on Trade Work & Commissioning

Field Execution: Physically perform trade work alongside your crew, including the modification, repair, testing, troubleshooting, and inspection of electrical and instrument installations.

Systems Verification: Verify installations, wiring, and terminations for Motor Control Centers (MCCs), control panels, and junction boxes.

Instrumentation Excellence: Inspect, modify, calibrate, and troubleshoot complex instrumentation systems.

3. Documentation & Quality Assurance

Deficiency Management: Proactively identify, document, and track project deficiencies, ensuring they are followed through to a satisfactory closure.

Commissioning Records: Complete all -defined commissioning documentation, including check sheets, Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs), and final test reports.

As-Built Compliance: Record final, highly accurate "as-built" and "as-left" conditions on project redline drawings, datasheets, and documentation.
Qualifications-
10+ years (Senior) preferred; exceptional candidates with 4–9 years (Intermediate) showing strong leadership will be considered.

Commissioning Expertise: Proven, hands-on experience in industrial start-up and brownfield commissioning environments is strictly required.

Industry Environment: Previous experience working within a nuclear facility is highly preferred; heavy industrial/mining experience is required.

Computer Literacy: Proficient computer skills for navigating project documentation, check sheets, and reporting tools.

Previous experience in a nuclear facility is preferred.

Education and Certifications

Required: Red Seal Journeyperson status as an Instrumentation Mechanic or Electrician.

Strong Preference: Dual-ticketed (E&I) individuals.

Required: Confirmed Supervisor training or leadership certification.

Preferred: Relevant Safety Certificate(s).
