Equation Staffing Solutions is currently recruiting on behalf of our client for an Experienced Baker to join a busy and well-established bakery in Calgary, AB.
This is an excellent opportunity for a passionate and skilled baker who takes pride in producing high-quality doughnuts and pastries. Our client is seeking someone with previous hands-on experience making doughnuts and pastries in a commercial bakery environment.
This is a full-time night shift position, working 5 to 6 nights per week. The standard shift is 11:00 PM to 7:00 AM, with some flexibility in start and finish times based on production needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare doughnuts and pastries according to established recipes and production standards.
- Ensure consistent product quality, appearance, and freshness.
- Decorate doughnuts using a variety of techniques while maintaining presentation standards.
- Follow all food safety, sanitation, and safe food handling procedures.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient work environment.
- Work collaboratively with the bakery team to meet daily production goals.
- Contribute to a positive customer experience by producing exceptional baked goods.
Qualifications
- Previous commercial experience making doughnuts and pastries is required.
- This is not a training position.
- Experience decorating doughnuts is considered a strong asset.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced bakery environment.
- Strong knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and safe food handling practices.
- Excellent attention to detail with a commitment to product consistency and quality.
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work night shifts.
- Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and ability to work well as part of a team.
