On behalf of our IT client, Procom is searching for a Project Manager for a six-month role. This position is a hybrid position with 3 days onsite at our client’s Calgary or Edmonton office.
Project Manager - Job Description:
We are seeking a highly capable and detail-oriented Project Manager to join our IT team, focusing on the delivery of initiatives across the portfolio. The successful candidate will lead projects from process analysis and requirements definition through to execution and implementation, handling complex, fast-paced environments effectively.
Project Manager - Responsibilities:
- Lead high-impact, visible projects from initiation through delivery, managing scope, schedule, resources, risks, and dependencies.
- Develop comprehensive project plans including timelines, budgets, forecasts, and resources.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to define requirements, objectives, and KPIs.
- Deliver Common Groups (Supply Chain, Finance, and HR), IT, Cyber Security, and enterprise solutions aligned to business objectives.
- Manage risks, issues, and evolving priorities effectively.
- Handle high-impact operational issues while maintaining delivery outcomes.
- Communicate clearly with stakeholders at all levels.
- Lead and influence cross-functional teams.
- Conduct post-implementation reviews to assess project success, identify lessons learned, and ensure continuous improvement.
Project Manager - Mandatory Skills:
- Proven project management experience, with a focus on technology or cyber projects and 7+ years of experience in SDLC project delivery.
- Degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, or related field.
- PMP or equivalent certification required.
- Demonstrated excellence in leading teams and managing complex projects, consistently delivering results on time and within budget.
- Experience implementing projects in the common IT space, ERP, and enterprise applications.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Ability to operate in Hybrid, Agile, and stage-gated frameworks.
Project Manager – Nice-to-Have Skills:
- Experience supporting HR, Finance, or Supply Chain software and business units.
- Experience delivering projects requiring strong stakeholder management and large organizational change.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Skilled at translating complex challenges into actionable solutions.
- Experience with process standardization and continuous improvement initiatives.
Project Manager – Assignment Length:
This is a six-month contract, with the potential for extension.
Project Manager - Assignment Location:
Calgary or Edmonton, Alberta, Canada, with a hybrid work model requiring 3 days in the office.
