We are actively seeking:
Landscape Maintenance Lead & Crew Members
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Coordinate, and execute the day-to-day work activities of a crew of 1 or 2 people.
- Follow directions from supervisors to efficiently carry out tasks such as:
- Yard Maintenance, including Weeding, edging, shrub trimming & pruning, mowing and weed eating as well as other lawn care services.
- Soft Landscaping (planting, mulching, sodding etc.)
- Operate various tools and equipment, including mowers, weed eaters, aerators, hedge trimmers, shovels, rakes, etc.
- Perform preventative maintenance on tools and equipment by conducting inspections, lubricating, and cleaning on a daily basis.
- Assist with loading and unloading materials, tools, and equipment required to complete projects.
- Wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times and comply with all company policies, procedures and regulations. Work in accordance with all local health and safety laws and regulations.
- Assist in daily record keeping and work orders.
- Assist in shop organization and cleanliness.
Requirements:
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, physically demanding outdoor work environment, with repetitive lifting and bending.
- Prior knowledge & experience in Landscape maintanence required.
- Willing to work in all reasonable types of weather.
- Willing to work some weekends.
- Must have valid Ontario "G" Driver's licence
- Must be able to drive a truck with a trailer and operate a 1 ton dump truck
Positions Starts immediately until November with the option of transitioning to winter duties.
Wages will be based on extent of experience.
