Main Responsibilities
The Gemologist/Operations professional is the heart of the back of house operations in the MARK LASH store. The operations professional has strong communication and problem solving skills and works effectively with sales professionals, management and clients to drive store sales.
Duties include:
- Handle order fulfillment, inventory management, shipping, receiving, replenishment, cleaning jewelry and taking in repairs following company operational procedures and policies
- Provide appraisals as required
- Monitor and reconcile merchandise inventory, using reports and systems to ensure inventory accuracy
- Partner and communicate effectively with sales associates and management to respond and follow up with client requests
- Provide support on the sales floor by utilizing product and brand knowledge to optimize sales
- Ensure an exceptional client experience through strong communication and sharing of relevant knowledge of product, service, care and handling instructions
Qualifications:
- Ability to work retail store hours as necessary, including nights, weekends and holidays. Flexibility required.
- Graduate gemologist degree or previous Gemological Institute of America (GIA) course work.
- Previous experience in the jewelry industry
- Detail orientated with organizational and analytical skills
- Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
- Professional, team oriented with a positive attitude
- Flexibility to perform different tasks based on day-to-day business needs.
- Authorized to work in Canada
- A college/university degree would be an asset
- Luxury retail experience would be an asset
