ESSENTIAL DUTIES
(Includes the following. Other duties may be assigned.)
- Trains, motivates, counsels, and monitors the performance of all salespeople.
- Ensures all new vehicle sales people satisfy the transportation needs of their customers.
- Directs and schedules the activities of all department employees, ensuring proper staffing at all times.
- Ensures that each customer is greeted as quickly as possible.
- Maintains a prospect tracking and follow-up system.
- Assists salespeople in closing deals when necessary.
- Communicates with new-vehicle and used-vehicle sales people to ensure that dealership policies and procedures are understood and followed.
- Conducts sales training meetings.
- Forecasts aggressive yet realistic monthly goals and objectives for individual salespeople and provides them with the support to meet these goals.
- Assists in development of improvement programs for salespeople who are having difficulty reaching their objectives.
- Ensures salespeople maintain a high customer satisfaction rating (above brand zone).
- Recommends for dismissal of any salesperson failing to meet dealership standards.
- Ensures new owners are contacted within 24 hours of delivery to ensure complete satisfaction with sales and delivery process Addresses any concerns or complaints immediately.
- Understands, keeps abreast of, and complies with provincial and/or local regulations that affect vehicle sales.
- Ensures an adequate supply of support material are available for the sales team
- Assists with the effort to keep the lot and all vehicles on the lot and in the showroom are kept clean, neat and display ready.
- Maintains professional appearance.
- Attends managers’ meetings as requested.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
Directly supervises salespeople in the Sales Department. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE
High School Diploma or equivalent. A minimum of 3 years Automotive Sales Management experience.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret professional journals, governmental regulations, and manufacturer correspondence. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients and customers.
OTHER ATTRIBUTES
Ability to work with sales staff to close deals, excellent interpersonal skills, ability to solve practical problems and deal with a wide variety of situations and enjoys being part of a dynamic team.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
Valid Ontario Driver’s License in good standing OMVIC License.
COMPENSATION
Audi Uptown Markham offers a competitive base salary of $120,000 per year, complemented by a performance-driven bonus structure. The Sales Manager role provides the opportunity to earn substantially above the base salary through the achievement of sales, profitability, customer satisfaction, and departmental performance targets.
