Koster's Bakery is a family owned and operated, high volume, fast paced European style bakery that daily prepares a variety of bread, buns, pastries, cakes and donuts. The bakery is complimented by our Deli and Dutch Imports. We are looking for an enthusiastic, creative individual to join our production team, to decorate a wide variety of cakes, pastries and donuts to our established standards and quality.
HOURS: Tuesday thru Saturday---8 hour shifts between 7AM and 5PM
WAGES: $20.00-28.00 Based on experience and education
RESPONSIBILITIES;
-Prepare, fill, ice and decorate cakes, pastries and donuts for retail sales and customer orders.
-Prepare icings, whipping creams and fillings.
-Provide excellent customer service while assisting customers and/or taking customer orders in person or by phone or email.
- Personalize cakes per customer requests.
-Merchandise products in retails showcases and maintain product rotations.
-Maintain inventory and order decorating products.
-Maintain food safety and sanitation requirements
JOB REQUIREMENTS;
-Experience in decorating in a bakery environment.
-Knowledge and skill in preparing icings, filling etc., in decorating techniques and methods and in the use of bakery equipment and tools.
-Creative ability to decorate unique and outstanding products.
-Ability to multitask and demonstrate organizational, time management and prioritizing skills.
-Ability to work as a team member and individually
-Ability to speak, read and write English
-Education in baking and decorating an asset.
